august 2, 1996:
danny s. was on his way to get a part for his newly acquired 1979 gmc c-10 pickup.

as he crossed an intersection, he was hit broadside by another vehicle. the gas tank was compromised and the vehicle exploded into flame.

danny was rendered unconscious until a passerby pulled him from the flames. he received extensive 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns over his entire body and lost his right arm as a result of the burns.

danny's burns rendered him unable to work.

his claim against gm's faulty design was settled out of court.

the claim against gm for the faulty design of the truck was settled prior to going to trial.


february 29, 2000:
linda w. was driving a pontiac sunbird when a gmc truck pulled across her right-of-way on a four lane highway, causing her to strike the vehicle n the gas tank area. flames erupted causing 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns mainly on her face. after extensive reconstructed surgery she is able to continue working.
